Ammodo presents two science awards: the Ammodo Science Award for groundbreaking research and the Ammodo Science Award for fundamental research.

for fundamental research
Fundamental scientific research is essential for expanding our knowledge. The Ammodo Science Award for fundamental research promotes such research by rewarding eight excellent scientists every two years in the domains Biomedical Sciences, Humanities, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. They each receive €300,000 to further their work.

for groundbreaking research
As of 2020, Ammodo also awards the Ammodo Science Award for groundbreaking research every two years, demonstrating appreciation for jointly conducted research that is internationally recognised, high quality and potentially groundbreaking. In 2022, the Award was presented to two research groups in the domains Biomedical Sciences and Humanities.
