The exhibition consists of 36 masterpieces including paintings, drawings, sculptures and applied art from the 13th to 19th century, on loan from the Frick Collection in New York. The Frick Collection is the art collection of wealthy American steel magnate Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919). It is the first time that so many works from the collection have been lent for exhibition outside of America. Ammodo supports The Frick Collection. Treasures from New York to contribute to the realization of this unique exhibition.

AMMODO ✕ Stedelijk Museum
1 January - 31 December 2015

The exhibition A year at the Stedelijk: Tino Sehgal is the first major retrospective of British/German artist Tino Sehgal (1976 ) at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. For each month of the year, one or more of Sehgal’s works or ‘situations’ will be presented at various locations in the museum. For Sehgal, an artwork consists of a live encounter between artwork and viewer. Sehgal creates ‘situations’ within the museum space, in which interpreters enact choreographed actions and occasionally converse with visitors. The exhibition will include the situations This is propaganda (2002), Kiss (2002) and This occupation (2005). Ammodo provides support to A year at the Stedelijk: Tino Sehgal in order to make this unique retrospective possible.
