Director Nina Spijkers has created a new adaptation of Kasimir und Karoline (1932), a play by Ödön von Horváth situated on a fair. Kasimir has just lost his job as a taxi driver and is convinced this is the reason his girlfriend Karoline no longer fancies him. According to Spijkers, the piece investigates “how our sense of self-worth, happiness and identity is defined by our societal and financial status”.
